The Unexpected Week Post-Launch

Last week, I was excited to share that Sunnycloud had gone live, and I was ready to start outreach activities to get the first customers on board. But as is often the case, reality had other plans.

Instead of diving into outreach, my week was filled with fixing workflow issues, tackling bugs, and managing my other assignments. While it wasn’t the week I had planned, it was still a week of progress - and I’ve got some reflections to share about balancing it all.

Fixing the Foundations

One thing I’ve been reminded of is that going live doesn’t mean the work is done - it just means the work shifts. This week, I found myself deep in the weeds of fixing workflows and resolving some unexpected bugs. It wasn’t exciting and glamorous work, but it was necessary to ensure Sunnycloud is ready for its first users to get the best experience possible.

It’s a reality check and reminder that even after launch, there’s still a lot to refine. Each fix gets Sunnycloud closer to being the product I’ve envisioned, even if it feels like slow progress sometimes.

Juggling Priorities

On top of the product fixes, my other assignments demanded a fair share of my time this week. Balancing multiple responsibilities while building a startup is a challenge, and this week highlighted just how much of a juggling act it can be.

The reality is, some weeks are about survival mode - keeping things moving and making sure nothing critical falls through the cracks. It’s not always the most exciting phase, but it’s a necessary one.

But, I did make some great progress both for current functionality as well as future-proofing the product development!

Looking Ahead

So, what’s next? I’m hopeful that this coming week will bring some time to finally kick off those outreach activities. Even if it’s just getting a small campaign off the ground, it’ll feel good to shift focus and start connecting with potential customers.

That said, I’m realistic - there’s still more work to do on the product and plenty of competing priorities. But step by step, Sunnycloud is moving forward.

Conclusion

Some weeks don’t go as planned, and that’s okay. Progress isn’t always linear, but every fix and adjustment brings the product closer to its potential. Here’s hoping next week has a bit more space for outreach and getting those live conversations with new potential customers!
