Back to Building: Plans and Focus for 2025

The holidays are behind us, and I’m excited to get back into the groove of building Sunnycloud and sharing the journey with you all. While much of the past few weeks has been about family and celebrations, I’ve also been gathering ideas, refining plans, and gearing up for what’s next.

2025 is all about moving forward, starting with sales activities next week and making sure Sunnycloud delivers standout value for its users. But before we dive into what’s coming, here’s a look back at what’s been happening during the break.

Wrapping Up the Holidays

The past few weeks were a mix of downtime and small bursts of productivity. Spending time with family and celebrating the holidays was a great way to reset, but I also managed to keep one eye on Sunnycloud.

A few demos over the past couple of weeks provided valuable feedback, giving me new ideas to refine both the product and how I present it to potential customers. The break wasn’t just a pause — it was a chance to rethink and recharge.

Avoiding the Sparkling-Idea Trap

One thing I’ve been reflecting on is the challenge of keeping focus. When you’re building a product, it’s easy to get excited by new ideas — especially when they come from others who mean well. But chasing every sparkling idea is a surefire way to slow progress and lose focus on what really matters.

For now, I’m doubling down on the short-term feature set that’s already planned. The goal is to deliver what’s essential while making sure Sunnycloud has that wow factor to stand out.

At the same time, I’ve realized it doesn’t make sense to try and match every feature of the bigger CRMs. Trying to copy everything they offer would only lead to a bloated product that loses its identity. Instead, I’m focused on carving out our own path — building a CRM that’s faster, simpler, and more intuitive than anything else out there, while also offering unique functionality that, for some reason, others haven’t combined into a single product.

The key is balance — offering enough to excite customers without overloading the roadmap.

Gearing Up for Sales Activities

Next week marks a big step forward — getting into sales mode! I’ve already got a couple of meetings booked and am looking forward to connecting with more potential customers. The focus will be on understanding their needs, showcasing the talk-first feature, and figuring out how Sunnycloud can make their work easier.

Sales is always an adventure, and the goal for these first few activities is simple: learn as much as possible. Whether it’s feedback on the product or insights into what resonates, every conversation is a chance to improve — and, of course, a chance to bring in some money, some dinero, and put some food on the table.

Summarizing

The holidays were a chance to step back, recharge, and gather ideas, but now it’s time to push forward. With sales activities starting next week and a clear focus on delivering value, I’m excited for what 2025 has in store for Sunnycloud.
